Our food and nutrition choices have a significant impact on our mental, physical and emotional health, both contributing to overall wellness and can unwittingly exacerbate symptoms of depression, anxiety, addiction and disordered eating. Our busy and complicated lives often do not leave much time for balanced or nutritionally sound eating habits, and with some basic knowledge and guidance, we can learn how to make nutrition a priority. Dr. Rodriguez and the clinical team at The Delray Center recognize the importance of the food we eat and how it influences our mental and emotional state.
Our research-based approaches utilize modern sciences’ understanding of the circular link between food and mood, particularly how poor nutritional habits often go hand in hand with depressed mood, active addiction and unmanaged anxiety. We work to promote a proper and balanced diet a basic foundation of healthy daily living. The Delray Center offers several nutrition groups that focus on learning the fundamentals of healthy nutrition, understanding essential nutrients to balanced health, improving your relationship with food and how to create long-term physical health. Nutrition groups at The Delray Center include:
