Is Group Therapy Right for Me

Group therapy is a great way to deal with issues in a more positive and supportive setting. By being able to relate to more than just your therapist, you can feel less isolated from the world knowing there is other who feels as you do. Our group therapy treatment program in Delray Beach, Florida is founded on a Dialectical Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral model in order to treat depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, codependency and addiction. Group therapy is also a very effective tool that can both improve and enrich the pace and progression of individual therapy and comprehensive treatment programs. The members of the outpatient therapy groups usually care about each other recovery, which creates a support system, which decreases the chances of isolation and self-destruction.

Each group is moderated and led by a highly trained professional, and designed to exclusively meet the growing and changing needs of our clients. Groups are put together with the intent to provide safe and respectful environments that help patients learn, heal, and build connections with other individuals facing similar struggles. Our staff observes the interactions between clients to achieve a well-rounded view of the client that enables us to accurately diagnosis our patients. Along with our ongoing groups, we offer many of intensive group therapy sessions that are specifically aimed at developing specific skills, or reaching specific and tangible goals.

Group topics include:

Any issue can be worked into a variety of groups or a group that targets one specific problem. Group topics vary daily, but we can focus on certain issues throughout the ongoing sessions requested by the clients and if in agreeance with the staff leading the group. You can be assured that confidentiality is one of basic principles that is mutually understood and explained to all clients and staff. We want out clients to feel safe sharing their feelings without the worry of anything going outside of our therapy sessions. We have always had the upmost professional conduct when dealing with sensitive issues.
